Position Details
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the performance and effectiveness of our technicians in our Commercial and Remote Guarding (RG) divisions, ensuring that equipment operates at peak efficiency to protect our clients and their assets. You’ll collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, Project Managers, the Command Center, and Customer Service to create a unified, high-performance team that aligns with The Radius Way – proudly doing things differently.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations. You will have the privilege of leading our RG Field Manager, Commercial Security Project Manager, and both Commercial and Remote Guarding Technicians.
COMPENSATION
The Salary Range for this role is $100K - 120K annually, depending on experience.

Job Description
CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Team Leadership & Development
- Setting an example through alignment with the company's core DNA and values.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track performance, ensuring each team member has a clear scorecard with defined goals and expectations.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports, providing timely feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Act on insights from engagement surveys, exit interviews, and employee feedback.
- Hire top talent, ensuring the team is staffed for success, and hold managers accountable for delivering an exceptional onboarding and training experience.
- Enhance training programs for both managers and frontline team members, emphasizing skill development and career progression.
Financial Oversight
- Take ownership of the department’s financial health by managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and achieving profitability targets.
- Analyze operational costs and collaborate with the team to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
Project Management & Process Improvement
- Takes ownership with a “buck stops here” mindset – ensure that your team is dedicated to finding customer solutions. Takes pride in the team delivering quality results, and when challenges arise, owns the outcome and ensure the team learns from the experience.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements and scalability by actively engaging with the team and understanding the business at its core.
- Streamline departmental processes to boost operational efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and working collaboratively to implement effective solutions.
- Foster a lean operational approach while leading effective change management practices. Ensure full adoption, proper training and communication with roll out of all changes.
Customer Experience Excellence
- Work with the team on creating and continuously adapting The Radius Way to ensure our customer’s experience is legendary.
- Attend networking and association events to gather insights on customer needs and expectations, sharing feedback with stakeholders and driving necessary improvements.
Safety Leadership
- Champion a Culture of Safety within the Canadian operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and continuous improvement of safety metrics.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety Committee to address concerns, prioritize safety training, and embed continuous learning into departmental operations.

Requirements
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a leadership role, directly managing technicians
- Industry experience in security or technology is an asset
- Education in Business, Operations Management, Project Management and/or Lean, is an asset
- Strong Emotional Intelligence (EQ), demonstrate humility, care, active listening, and resilience
- Excellent communication (winning recipe: engaging, clear, curious, and empathetic)
- Passionate about our Company DNA and eager to be a Cultural Champion
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across various levels of the organization
- Project management experience – drives results and accountable for outcomes
- Extensive knowledge of various operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and people management.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics, with hands-on experience using business management software such as ERP, and CRM.
